After 17 hours of traveling (nice flight(s) w/Qatar Airways btw., really can recommend!) we arrived in Kuala Lumpur yesterday night. It was late and dark already, so we just went to our hotel at the airport, got a beer at the bar and went to bed, as we had to get up at 6am this morning.
By now we are in Georgetown (Penang Island) and exploring the city. It is really hot, I mean really hot, but we like this place and its nice and friendly people! Georgetown is beautiful and we like the mixture of little India, Chinatown, old colonial-style houses... and the TravelChicks :) Going to get bikes next!
We're gonna stay here one more day (planing on a trip to the backcountry tomorrow) before we head to Langkawi. I think both of us can't wait to hit the beach and we're looking forward to walking barefoot in the sand...
