...that 's what our Malayan friend Bob concluded in our last night in Georgetown.
We spent the night at a bar with live music, and Bob was the lead singer of the band. They did pretty good covers of all kind of rock songs and we really enjoyed the music.
"We" were from Malaysia, Egypt, Russia, the Netherlands and Germany - and had lots of fun. Especially when some strange malayan old guy started to dance in such a funny way - cant describe, you need to see the video once I'm back home again. One thing for sure: this guy defenitely showed Leadership :)
Unfortunately our boat for Langkawi left at 8am the next morning, so we thought 2.30am has to be enough party, while the others moved to other bars.
But it was late enough to feel hung over and sleepy the next morning :)
The boat trip took 4 hours and it was so bloody cold on that boat, that we were badly freezing. I just don't understand why the asians can't handle a A/C?!
On Langkawi we decided for the next best Hotel, named Nadias Comfort Inn. But it was way to expensive for what it was and we decided to move the next day. We found a pretty nice bungalow right at the beachside at Langkapuri Inn, it was cheaper, cleaner, nicer, AT the beach, including breakfast... so almost perfect. We stayed there for two more nights.
During the day we chilled mostly at Yellow Bar, which was defenitely the most cosy place there. Nice seaview, hammocks, great food & drinks and you could hang out there as long as you want and nobody bothers you! Laying there, reading and relaxing was just awesome. At night we went to one of the beachbars (Little Lillys Chillout Place) where we met nice locals. They showed us the places to be on Langkawi and recommended a lot of things. So we ended up that night at Sunbar (about 15 minutes walk from the beach), the only "club" that is open till late. So we stayed until late :))
We did a nice Island Hopping trip on our last day at Langkawi, three beautiful small islands nearby, hundreds of big eagles and a small lake on top of a mountain. They call it "the lake of the pregnant maid" because the story is, that once upon a time there was a women who couldn't get pregnant but after bathing in this lake she suddenly was. Uuups.
But if we did bath in there stays our secret.... :)
